There are 52 places available for children in the Nursery – 26 morning and 26 afternoon. Applications for Nursery are made direct to School. Children can start nursery education at the beginning of the term after their 3rd birthday. Children attending Nursery are entitled to 15 hours per week.
The Nursery also caters for children with Special Educational Needs by referral from Special Services Section, Derby City Children and Young People’s Service. Details are given below.

The School’s admission arrangements are common to maintained schools in Derby City. Please follow the link at the foot of this page (Derby City Admissions) to access the Council’s admissions arrangements and how to make an application.
Applications for Infant School places are handled by Derby City Admissions Section.
For the year, beginning September 2016, we are permitted to admit 60 new pupils whose fifth birthdays fall between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017 into the Reception (Foundation Stage 2) classes.
In addition, we are able to admit pupils into years one and two at the request of parents, via the Local Authority. In years one and two, the maximum number of places available remains at 60.
Prospective parents are welcome to visit the School by prior arrangement with the Head Teacher.
There are 6 Enhanced Resource places within each year group. These places are for children with statements of Special Educational Needs, with particular difficulties in Language and Communication. Enhanced Resource places are allocated by Special Services Section, Derby City Council.
Places in The Ark – the special facility for children with Autism – are allocated by Special Services Section.
