Farm to Fork

Our Year 1 classes – Foxes, Giraffes and Peacocks visited the local Tesco store to find out where our food comes from. They visited various parts of the store, including the bakery where they had a go a bread making.

Harvest Festival 24 September

We had our Harvest Festival on Wednesday 24 September at 9.30am Key Stage 1 – Foxes, Giraffes and Peacocks at 10.15 Reception – Chimps and Penguins Gifts of fresh and tinned food were gratefully received and were donated to the Padley Centre for Derby’s homeless people.

Book Fair 23 to 27 June 2014

Paramedic Day

The ambulances and paramedics visited School for a day on 19 March 2014. The children learnt about safety and that paramedics are there to help in an emergency. Our Year 1 topic is Heroes. We liked sitting in the ambulance but the siren was very loud.  

Hansel and Gretel Dance

Road Markings

Over the years there has been much concern expressed about the safety of children on their journey to and from school. The ‘Keep Clear’ markings on Brackensdale Avenue and Walthamstow Drive outside the entrance to the Schools will become mandatory.
